The rooftop at Hotel Solamar was packed Wednesday night as partygoers celebrated all things bubbly.
Maria C. Hunt, the author of "The Bubbly Bar" is well known around town as "The Bubbly Girl." She's celebrating the launch of her newest book -- a compilation of fun recipes -- and was very busy signing for friends and fans.
The party and farm-to-bar cocktails mixer was hosted by Hotel Solamar and Slow Food Urban San Diego.
We caught up with master sommelier Eddie Osterland who had a lot of great stuff to say about entertaining with champagne and how it will make your party stand out. When asked what the best "cheap" champagne is for us normal people, he recommended something for $17 bucks a bottle at Trader Joe's that he says looks like and tastes like a $100 bottle. Look for Segura Viudas Reserve. Maybe it's just me but I loved that info.
