A beloved neighborhood diner in Hillcrest served its last meal on Saturday.
Brian’s American Eatery, known serving huge portions of home-cooked goodness, shut its doors for good a restaurant staffer confirmed to NBC San Diego.
The restaurant, located at 1451 Washington St., was a popular spots for locals since it was open 24 hours a day on weekends.
Details were not given as to why Brian’s suddenly closed. The staff was "completely surprised" by the incident, said a server who did not wish to identify himself.
Calls were not returned to NBC San Diego regarding the closure, and the restaurant phone number has been disconnected.
