Pool Party Season Is Here

When we say “Pacific Beach”, you should be thinking “bikini.” Especially this week.

The Firehouse American Eatery + Lounge will transform itself into a two-story shopping and pampering experience for San Diegans who need to get ready for the pool party season.

On Thursday, 20 of San Diego’s hottest boutiques, spas, salons and designers will take over the popular club while raising money for a special cause. Among the vendors, House of PlumRed will have their styles at an affordable $40 or less and Je’Marie will be offering amazing deals on their new line of handbags, the FUMI and the Scarlett Collection.

Some other deals at the event, according to DiscoverSD editor Michelle Guerin, include Vuori Clothing -- T-shirts for him and her --- offering a 2fer special and Moderne fashion for men and women offering up to 50% off and $30 brag box with brands like Wildfox Couture, Roar, Harajuku Lovers and Degaine.

There's no cover charge but donations will be accepted for the cause. Invisible Children, which has its home office in San Diego, works to improve conditions for children caught up in the violence in Uganda by rebuilding schools and organizing mentorships and teaching children trade skills.

Also, a drawing will feature more than $700 in giveaways. Tickets: $5 for 1 and $20 for 5.
