ON A MISSION: There's a lot to see in Mission Hills once you stray from the beaten path of Washington Street. From 6 to 8 p.m. every third Wednesday, the Mission Hills Town Council is hosting Mission Nights within the area bordered by Ft. Stockton, University, Hawk and Eagle streets. Enjoy live music, free food, coupons, demonstrations and dinner & drink specials from stores and restaurants such as Lavish, M-Theory Music, Venissimo Cheese, Olivetto's Cafe & Wine Bar and Cinema Under the Stars among many others. Meters are free after 6 p.m. so drive up the Hills and enjoy.

On Friday from noon to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. you can shop the Best Boutique & Bargain Bazaar at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Enviable brands will be on display for 20-75% off including 7 For All Mankind, BCBG, Free People, Michael Kors and many others.Tickets are $8 for one day or $12 for both days, and kids under 12 get in free. Cash only!

CEDROS STROLL: Solana Beach has a great shoreline, and a beautiful central district to go with it. Every third Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. you'll find Art & Design on Cedros Avenue, an event with new art exhibits, live music and other cool stuff. This month, Hot Rock Jewelry will host a kicky art collection from Lionel Talaro called "An Evening of Divine Bovine." The art reception starts at 5 p.m., but the gorgeous jewelry will be there all week.
