What You're Doing Tonight, 7/8

NOT JUST ANY JAZZ BAND: The members of the Preservation Hall Jazz Band have been considered the New Orleans jazz ambassadors for the last 40 years and are playing at San Diego’s own award-winning live music venue, Anthology. From their previous events such as playing at Carnegie Hall to serenading the King of Thailand, this talented group of musicians will continue to educate and expose New Orleans jazz to future generations, according to yelp.com.  It all starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are required ranging in price from $18 to $45.

SHOW YOUR PRIDE: Your invited to the Ruby Room from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. for a beer and cheese tasting at $10 a pairing. All proceeds go to SD Pride. Make sure you stick around for some classical soul and R&B dancing from 9 p.m. to 12 p.m.

DIVE-IN MOVIES: The Pearl Hotel is bringing some of the coolest movies of all time to the pool! Every Wednesday night, the Pearl's vintage, oyster-shell saltwater swimming pool will be surrounded by movie-goers in the poolside cabanas watching flicks on a ten foot projection screen.  All movies begin at 8 p.m. and drinks and appetizers are available.
