Cherry Blossom Festival Welcomes Spring

The trees will be blossoming into pink clouds -- a sight you don’t want to miss.

Welcome the springtime bloom with an event that only occurs once a year:  The Cherry Blossom Festival.

You can experience the beautiful garden which houses 160 cherry trees. The trees will be blossoming into pink clouds -- a sight you don’t want to miss.

Walk through the delightful Garden and try some delicious Japanese food. It’ll be fun for the whole family, providing cultural entertainment for you to enjoy and there will be a children’s activity area as well.

The festival is going to promote educational programs, expanding the understanding on Japanese heritage for people from different cultures.

It will take place at the Japanese Friendship Garden located in Balboa Park on Saturday, March 17.

The festival is free with garden admission. Children 12 and younger will be able to enter free of charge, with an adult paid admission. All the proceeds will be steered to the expansion of the Garden providing awe to all visitors.
