Target is rolling out the red carpet for incoming freshmen at the University of San Diego. As part of USD's Welcome Week festivities, students will be bused down to the Mission Valley Target for a special event closed to the public.
"It is just to welcome freshman to the university and have some fun during Welcome Week," said spokesperson Staci Rubinstein.
The private in-store shopping event will be held Friday, September 3, from 10:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Students will be given gift bags and treated to snacks and other goodies.
Rubinstein said there will different games with prizes, music, gift bags, and food samples. She said they can shop, but they don't have to buy anything to participate in the festivities.
During the event, Target will be showcasing some of their designer back to school outfits and dorm decor.
This event is held nationwide at 48 select university campuses across the country.
