Will it be The Creepy Creeps or The Dabbers? Who will you select as the Best Rock Band in San Diego? They are just two of the nominees up for a San Diego Music Award.
The ceremony, planned for September 10 at Viejas Concerts in the Park, will include a number of performances by local artists. You can expect to see members of Get Back Loretta, Steph Johnson, The Burning of Rome, the San Diego Blues Allstars, The Silen Comedy, Scarlet Symphony and Slightly Stoopid on stage performing during the awards ceremony.
Up for Artist of the Year are Anya Marina, Jason Mraz and Switchfoot among others. Mraz is also up for Song of the Year for the recording of “Lucky” with Colbie Caillat.

Online voting for nominees in the genre categories opens August 1. Members of the academy vote on all the album-related categories.
