San Diego to Celebrate Social Media

Socialize with your online community offline

Our growing addiction to social media has us constantly updating our personal status, tweets and check-ins.

If you’re looking to socialize with your online community to stay in tuned with our new networked 21st century world, you might want to checkout Social Media Day on Saturday June 30 to celebrate the revolution of media becoming social dialogue.

Local social media gurus will come together for an opportunity to connect, engage and network.

Social Media Day was launched in 2010 by the social media site Mashable. Nine cities worldwide are participating in the event.

Mayor Jerry Sanders even officially declared June 30, β€œSocial Media Day" for San Diego.

This International social media day will go from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Marina Kitchen inside the San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina.

The event is free, so be sure to arrive early to enjoy food and drink specials.

The first 100 people will also receive free social media gift bags.
