You already know the many benefits of stepping out - hitting the pavement and taking a nice walk. But, did you know a good, brisk walk can even help your kidneys? In fact, if you take part in the big organized stroll set for this Saturday at Liberty Station you'll not only be doing your kidneys a big favor but raising money to help those whose kidneys aren't doing so well.
The Inaugural San Diego Kidney Walk takes place at 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the NTC Promenade at Liberty Station in Point Loma. You can register as an individual, family or form a team and all the proceeds go to help those already ailing from chronic kidney disease along with raising important, much needed dollars for research.
