This weekend promises to be far out for San Diegans who attend Hippiefest 2009, a “concert for peace and love.”
The musical celebration, which will be on August 2, will feature favorites from the 60s and 70s that fans will not want to miss.
“The lineup is terrific,” says Corky Laing of Mountain.
Artists include Chuck Negron formerly of Three Dog Night, Felix Cavaliere of The Rascals, The Turtles featuring Flo & Eddie, Mountain featuring Leslie West and Corky Laing.
Hippiefest will be full of the sights and sounds that defined the time period and will even feature a Woodstock 40th Anniversary Tribute performance by Mountain.
The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Humphrey’s by the Bay. Tickets range from $70 to $250.
