Event Description: The Museum of Contemporary Art puts on their monthly "Thursday Night Thing." 

This Thursday join many excited museumgoers to check out the brand new exhibition “Rising Tide: Film and Video Works” from the MCA Collection, Sydney. 

Participate in a hands-on activity led by local artist Wes Bruce, and record your own video archive for use in an upcoming La Jolla Playhouse production, “Continuous City.” Plus, hear live music by local band Writer and local musician Joel P. West.

Admission is free, and a $3 donation is greatly appreciated.

Event Name:  Law Enforcement Challenge "Guacamole Bowl"

Event Description:  If you make the best Guacamole in town, here is your chance to prove yourself!

The 6th Annual Law Enforcement Challenge "Guacamole Bowl" is expected to attract more than 1,000 guests who will taste guacamole from more than 25 teams and will help determine who makes the best guacamole. The public is invited to attend for $5.

Teams compete in Law Enforcement, Media, Professional, and Open Divisions. To enter a team, the Entry Fee is $25. Each division has sponsorships opportunities, from $50 for an Entertainment Sponsor up to $7,500 for the Championship Round Sponsor.  

The proceeds benefit the Sports for Exceptional Athletes program. The Guacamole Bowl is co-sponsored by San Diego Park & Recreation-Therapeutic Recreation Services.
