Celebrate the Mambo on opening night at the San Diego Latino Festival March 12. This year's 11-day event features Andy Garcia in "Cachao:Uno mas" about the legendary musician, composer, arranger and cultural icon who invented the Mambo.
The festival will showcase 150 films , documentaries, narratives, animation from the U.S. to Brazil to Spain and other Latin countries. All will have subtitles. "Come be entertained and marvel at the bold and sensitive diversity, " says Ethan van Thillo, Executive Director and Founder of the Festival.
There's family night that features Dora the Explorer "Live" appearance and screening March 15. Kids can get their picture taken with Dora and Diego and watch their shows on the Big Screen during the special Mick Jr. fmaily presentation presented by Nickelodeon.
