Teens with Cancer Get a Night to Remember

The red carpet will be rolled out for more than 140 local kids and teens diagnosed with cancer - all for their very own prom!

Children and teens from Rady Children's and Kaiser Permanente Hospital will receive star treatment as they arrive by limousine and walk the red carpet.

For some, prom was a forgotten dream, but this third annual event, hosted by the Friends of Scott Foundation,  promises to give these kids some unforgettable memories. "Prom Night" will be held at the San Diego Hall of Champions in Balboa Park (very fitting!)

"When your life is all about treatment, when every day is about drugs and transfusions, it's really exciting to have something fun to look forward to," said prom committee chair and Friends of Scott board member Anna Sciarrino. "We just want this to be a night of fun, to let them forget about their cancer."

From the dashing tuxedos donated by Friar Tux and gorgeous gowns donated women all over San Diego, to volunteer hair styists and makeup artists, the generous members of our community have the event covered from head to toe.
