Taylor Hicks Visited Us

American Idol/ “Teen Angel” Taylor Hicks paid a visit Wednesday to NBCSanDiego. Hicks chatted about his role as the Teen Angel in "Grease," the widely adored and nostalgic musical, now playing at San Diego Civic Theater through March 8.

Taylor talked about putting his own spin on his character, "Taylor-making" it if you will, as he described.  Accents like the Teen Angel look, the clothes and of course the voice.  This Teen Angel is sleeker, sexier and more revved up than you may remember!

Taylor is very busy, with nightly "Grease" performances running through Sunday. His part in the show lasts about 30 minutes in the second act and then, viewers are treated to an encore performance by Hicks as himself, at the end of the show where he gives a live sampling of the first single “What’s Right is Right” from his latest released album, “The Distance.”

Taylor spoke about his upcoming performance at the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach on Thursday March 5, promoting his new album. He is excited about the show and performing at the famous San Diego venue.  Expect him to be delivering his soulful new tunes in his signature raspy tone which America fell in love with in 2005.

Thanks for coming by Taylor!
