Grab your surfboard and coolest canines for the 4th annual Loews Coronado Bay Resort Surf Dog Competition.
Saturday, June 20, join the fun at Imperial Beach filled with big prizes for those dogs that show plenty of confidence, ride the wave the longest and show their overall ability to "rip it and grip it." Be there with your best friend at 10 a.m. for a practice session, since the first category (small dogs) begins at 11 a.m.
It’s $50 for your pup to ride the waves solo and $55 if you want to shred the gnarr with your talented canine. Fees also include a competition metal and a goody bag filled with treats. All proceeds will benefit the Loews Coronado Bay Resort’s non-profit partner, Modest Needs Foundation. General admission is free.
Last year, more than $10,000 was raised for the resort’s non-profit partner and this year’s event is expected to be even better.
