No Ordinary Whale Watching Experience

Think back to the last time you went whale watching. Chances are you were wearing a hoodie or poncho and drinking a hot beverage on the deck of a large boat.

Now, imagine going whale watching aboard the America, the 139 ft vessel that the "America's Cup" international yacht race is named after.

Typically available for private / corporate charter only, the yacht will open to the general public and take weekend trips in search of whales from January to March – the peak whale watching season off San Diego’s Coast.

Beginning December 27, 2008, the America will board passengers at the Maritime Museum.

For $75/adult and $37.50/children, the company provides basic beverages and snacks but recommends β€œguests bring a picnic lunch, a blanket, their own favorite wine or beer and relax on deck as we sail to the whales and then have an amazing sail back in from the ocean.”

With your ticket, you’ll get a 4 hour sail as well as access to the Maritime Musem.
