Talk about balls! Would you be able to handle even one of the challenges in the 2009 City Chase San Diego?
The event that's part "Amazing Race" and part "Fear Factor" turned San Diego into a giant obstacle course Saturday morning. The 2009 City Chase Series is part scavenger hunt, part obstacle course, part urban adventure race and promises to push you out of your comfort zone. The challenges are designed to test mind, body and spirit.
The event challenges participants (in teams of two) to exhibit teamwork, resourcefulness, determination and the ability to make decisions on the fly as they search for "ChasePoints" scattered in unknown locations throughout San Diego.
Teams run, walk, crawl (and use the trolley) to navigate their way throughout the city, while phoning a friend for help, using the Internet, etc. If you can think of it, you'll probably be doing it.
One of the first tests of will we learned about Saturday was Naked Bowling. Let's hope we get some pictures submitted from THAT Chase Point!
The first team to complete the required ChasePoints and cross the finish line will advance to the North American Championship in Quebec City, Quebec.
City Chase is partnering with The Stay Classy Foundation, which serves the San Diego community through a series of events like the recent Elemental Experience festival.
