Legoland Lights Up The Holidays

High School Musical star performs at the sixth annual Legaland tree-lighting ceremony

Legoland and High School Musical star Drew Seeley celebrate Christmas together at the sixth annual Lego Tree Lighting Ceremony.  For the first time the event will feature a live performance complete with songs from actor Drew Seeley from "High School Musical: The Concert".  It's scheduled for Dec 1 at 5:30 pm

Four siblings in foster care seeking a permanent home were selected to help Seeley and Santa to pull the switch to light up the 30 foot tall Lego tree.  More than 245-thousand forest green lego bricks form the one-of-a-kind holiday tree which will be adorned with 400 Lego ornaments according to Lego spokesperson Julie Estrada.

The ceremony is dedicated to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. Dave Thomas was the founder of the Wendy's fast food chain.

A brilliant fireworks display will light up the sky above spectators.

Legoland California will present $10,000 to the Thomas adoption foundation to help local foster care children.
