The local landmark is looking to make some money from its naming rights, according to a report in a local paper.
The Del Mar Fairgrounds would be the first in the nation to sell its naming rights, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported. According to the paper, officials want to get between $1 million and $1.5 million for a 10-year contract.
"It's a wonderful opportunity for a company to partner with us," fairgrounds CEO Tim Fennell said.
Information packets are being sent to the Bank of America, Pepsi, California Bank & Trust, GEICO, Sempra Energy, AT&T, LG Electronics, BP and Kyocera.
