A Christmas Carol Becomes a New Holiday Tradition in Old Town

Cygnet Theatre debuts play with a new look of the theatre

A new tradition  and a new look will be unveiled in Old Town with a Victorian and ghostly adaptation of the classic play, "A Christmas Carol".

The Victorian theme  will echo the newly renovated Old Town Theatre

Cygnet Theatre Company annouced in May that the Old Town Theatre building would be undergoing improvements including larger restrooms that are ADA compliant,  new state of the art lighting and sound systems as well as cosmetic upgrades to the building and seating.

"We believe that our efforts at the Old Town theatre will reinstate it as a destination for local San Diego residents as well as for park visitors. Bringing a full season of theatrical productions back into the park should have a major positive impact on the Old Town community," said artistic director Sean Murray .

"A Christmas Carol" opens Dec. 6.
