A lawsuit was announced Wednesday alleging the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Diego fraudulently transferred real estate to dummy corporations in order to avoid paying out legal settlements to hundreds of victims of childhood sexual abuse.

NBC 7’s Mari Payton heard from an attorney accusing the Catholic Diocese of San Diego of transferring properties in an attempt to avoid paying out sexual abuse claims.

The Diocese of San Diego is slated to announce it’s filing for bankruptcy. NBC 7’s Nicole Gomez shares more information.
