A week after Hurricane Ian barreled through southern Florida, rescue and recovery efforts continue as the Florida National Guard and U.S. Coast Guard distribute supplies, and airlift people and vehicles.

Late Tuesday night, a crew with the Las Vegas Metro Police Department hoisted two people from their van, which had filled with water after torrential rain.

The interplanetary photo op was conducted earlier this month by the helicopter, NASA reported.
