The pandemic is causing problems on our freeway and no it’s not because of traffic. This morning southbound lanes on the 163 from interstate 8 were closed. Caltrans officials say, because people have been littering personal protective equipment all over the highways.

Caltrans crews will close northbound State Route 163 connector to northbound Interstate 5 Wednesday night for maintenance.

SANDAG and Caltrans will continue their nightly closures along northbound Interstate 805 in National City and Chula Vista. The closures are scheduled for 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., except for Friday and Saturday nights. The planned closures will be from Jan. 26 through Feb. 14.
