Thursday's a killer night for music in San Diego, with our local boys returning home for a show at the Casbah. Yes, Crocodiles have found other places to call home, but many of us can remember basement parties and dive-bar shows featuring the Crocs as they ascended the wave of music that has carried them to the far reaches of the planet. Along with Wymond Miles and Heavy Hawaii, this is going to be a dark, fuzzy night at the Casbah, and it's going to be great to see the guys again. Of course, there are other good times to be had if, say, the Meat Puppets are more your flavor, as the legendary band performs at Soda Bar; or if Trouble in the Wind is in the cards over at the Griffin. Another highlight of the night will be a screening of Craig Rian's Music Documentary at the Whistle Stop, which features many current and defunct San Diego bands of the last few years. Celebrate the night, celebrate San Diego and celebrate some amazing musical options to kick off the weekend a little bit early.
