Sounds Like San Diego: Nov. 25

Tuesday sees indie-pop fuzz with Always at Soda Bar, Vance Joy messing with the tides at House of Blues and more

There is some serious music happening on Tuesday that would make you think it's just a normal music week in San Diego. I'm particularly fond of Alvvays, performing at Soda Bar. The Canadian indie-pop band is fuzzy and jangly and just sweet enough to make me think fondly of what used to be called "college radio" back in the late '80s and early '90s. Meanwhile, Vance Joy returns with a proper show at House of Blues, and the Black Crows frontman returns to the Belly Up with the Chris Robinson Brotherhood, while Causers take over the Casbah. For something a little extra special, catch Jake Najor's latest project -- Taurus Authority, which we reported on -- at their Merrow residency.
