Sounds Like San Diego: May 18

It seems that every once in a while, a radio station flips formats and shakes up the market a little bit, but it was absolutely shocking in San Diego when KPRI sold and changed from an "adult album alternative" station to a contemporary Christian station. The station was known for their involvement in really cool events like the Green Flash Concert Series at the Birch Aquarium. Fortunately, FM 94/9 stepped up to keep the whole thing going and on Wednesday, there are going to be some stoked fans who get to see a sold-out show with Borns overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It's an amazing venue to see a show, so if you didn't get a ticket this time around, check out their whole summer lineup. Meanwhile, a Malaysian star on the rise, Yuna, plays at the Casbah, Brooklyn funk band Turkuaz is at Belly Up, and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard play a sold-out show at Soda Bar.
