Sounds Like San Diego: Feb. 18

The Young Wild hit Casbah, while Lotus blossoms at Belly Up on Wednesday

There are lots of reasons to get out of the house this hump day. It's all about that bass with Meghan Trainor at the House of Blues, and Lotus blossoms at Belly Up. Wednesday is the first night of Shen-Yun, and while it's not exactly a "live music" show, the spectacle is worth mentioning. Soda Bar hosts a show with Gunner -- the offspring of famed bassist Nikki Sixx -- and his project, Figs Vision. Meanwhile, the Casbah rocks out with the Young Wild -- the latest incarnation/reinvention of the band formerly known as Family Wagon -- along with the awesome Rusty Maples. Be sure to get there early to catch Wars, the new project featuring the Howls frontman John Cooper.
