Sounds Like San Diego: December 24

The Christmas Eve all-star tribute to the Rolling Stones continues this year at the Casbah

For the past two decades, the Casbah has opened its doors to Exile On Kettner- a giant party full of San Diego musicians covering the Rolling Stones all night long. With lines out the door at peak times, the party had grown so big that Mario Escovedo, who put all the musicians together for rehearsals and song assignments, had more than a couple times mentioned that it might be time to retire the night. Sadly, this year he's decided to step aside, but the great news is that a whole host of musicians are still getting together to put on the whole spectacle. Many are repeat performers from the past, and many are new to the rocking Christmas Eve party, but one thing remains: the party is absolutely free and is going to be a blast.
