San Diego Is Wailing This Weekend

Thank goodness for stretch pants! Feeling festively plump after indulging on Thanksgiving, but there is plenty of booty shaking in store for us this weekend.

Whether it’s one of the many concerts or DJ events happening in San Diego this weekend, there’s sure to be plenty of calories burned on the dance floor. Lots of live-music choices on Friday night, including the Original Wailers at the Griffin, Unwritten Law at House of Blues and the first of a two-night stand with Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe and Friends (Ivan Neville, Chali 2NA, Slightly Stoopid Horns and Crush Effect, featuring Burkey of Vokab Company) at Belly Up. Get your dance on at Voyeur with Anna Lunoe and FYOR. There’s no cover before 10:30 p.m. when you RSVP.

Saturday night, join me for Club Sabbat at Numb3rs in Hillcrest. DJ Severin and I will be spinning the best in gothic, industrial and more. There’s also the ‘80s Holiday Hangover Party at House of Blues, with four tribute bands; the Joshua Tree (U2), the Cured (the Cure), Strangelove (Depeche Mode) and Murmur (R.E.M.). More info is here. LED presents Angger Dimas with Erick Diaz at Voyeur, and the final ELEV8 of 2012 features the Crumpet Stomp Tour at Spin. Plus, the always fun Booty Bassment is at the Whistle Stop.

You can visit my blog here. Support your local businesses this holiday shopping weekend and I’ll see you on the dance floor!
