Neon Trees, Local Natives Turn Up Alt 949's Not So Silent Night

The mega-concert happens at Del Mar Arena on Sunday, Dec. 8

Technically, summer isn't over and the leaves are still green, but go ahead and try to stop the proliferation of pumpkin spice lattes and Uggs. It's just a good thing our early holiday chatter is music related.

On Sunday, Dec. 8, Alt 949's Not So Silent Night concert is taking over Del Mar Arena (2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd.) at 5 p.m. with Neon Trees, Local Natives, Shaed, Half Alive, White Reaper and Winnetka Bowling League.

Pre-sale tickets, which allow access to "standing room on the arena floor and stadium seating in the arena grandstands," are still available for just $19.75.

That's a crazy price point.

It usually costs that or more to see just one of those bands. Local Natives' latest local appearance at Music Box less than a week ago is proof of that.

Interestingly, both Local Natives and Neon Trees have local connections, with the former band's bassist hailing from America's Finest City and the latter's singer (Tyler Glenn) and guitarist (Chris Allen) having both grown up in the Temecula/Murrieta area.

There's nothing like spending the holiday season in your hometown.
