On Friday, it’s a sold-out show with Generationals and Rose Quartz at the Casbah; Bondurant with Lion & the Lady are at the Merrow; the Routine with AJ Froman play at Winston's; Sara Petite headlines at Java Joes; Magic Giant, Hills Like Elephants and G Burns Jug Band take over Soda Bar; Body of Light, Some Ember and Din are at the Hideout; Marujah, Amigo and Kitty Plague hit the Ken Club; Gunner Gunner, Wicked Tongues and the Tramplers are at Blackthorn; and get your Hip Hop vs. Punk Rock on at the Tower Bar.

Start your Saturday with the Vinyl Junkies Record Swap at the Casbah. Later that night, Strangelove (Depeche Mode tribute), Sin (Nine Inch Nails tribute) and Only-U (Kraftwerk tribute) take over House of Blues; Dead Man’s Party (Oingo Boingo tribute) headline at the Belly Up; Earthless, Arctic, Loom and Operation Mindblow Light Show hit the Casbah; Leftover Crack headline at the Observatory North Park; and Excel, Rotting Out, Xibalba and Nomads are at Soda Bar. Get your dance on with Club Ascension, featuring DJs Ladynoir, Doktor Zayus and yours truly, at the Kava Lounge; or Haywyre at Bang Bang.

Sunday, the Avett Brothers play a sold-out show at the Balboa Theatre; Mustard Plug, the Toasters and Oceanside Sound System hit the Casbah; Catfish & the Bottlemen and Wild Party are at the Merrow; John 5 & the Creatures headline the Ramona Mainstage; and Canadian producer/DJ Excision takes over Somewhere Loud.
