It's not Halloween, but if you're out on the town tonight, expect to see revelers celebrating as if it is. I don't know if you'll see costumes at Open Air Theatre, for example, when Hozier takes the stage, but you might see some at the Merrow for Heart Bones featuring Har Mar Superstar. His last show in town was a tribute to the "Dirty Dancing" soundtrack and was so fun, but no matter what he has in store, it's always a good time, and he's looking especially svelte these days, so chances are you will see him prancing around in his skivvies at least for part of the show. The Casbah hosts the Loons once again for their "Love Revisited" show, which is a night of retro fun, and freak-folkster Devendra Banhart plays the Observatory for his first San Diego show in quite some time. All the way down the list, you've got plenty of ways to party, whether you call it Halloween or not. I'm all in for it.
