This was a big week for Tecate blues-pop singer Carla Morrison. She took home two Latin Grammys: one for Best Alternative Song for “Déjenme Llorar” and one for Best Alternative Album of the Year with Hasta La Piel. Her honest music is for the people. Morrison even describes the work as a “crisis album,” which is probably why her fans feel the singer is so relatable -- she's not afraid to show her frailties in personal intimate relationships.

During Morrison's acceptance speech she proudly said “Viva Mexico” and then she dropped the F-Bomb en Español with "Y c------a madre," which loosely translates to "F--k yeah." Which, of course, Univision censored. When reporters asked about Morrison's choice in language she clarified, "Well, I don't f--k around."
After the Grammys, Morrison left Vegas for Santa Monica's Red Bull Studios to meet up with fellow Mexicana cantantes Nina Diaz (Girl in a Coma) and Teri Gender Bender (Les Bucherettes). There she recorded a new version of "Hasta La Piel" with Bender and "Déjenme Llorar" with Diaz.
