Walk for Water with Mark Mullen on March 20th

NBC San Diego's News Anchor, Mark Mullen will emcee the Project Concern event, Walk for Water at Tecolote Shores on Sunday March 20th at 10am. This 5k walk isn't your average cause walk, as it's purpose it to bring local attention to the global issue of the severe lack of clean water. To drive home the impact, some walkers will make the trek carrying water jugs to mirror the journey that women and children across the world have to make every-day to get to clean water, many times double the length of this 5k.

The monies raised from the walk will go towards the funding of critically needed water wells in Tanzania and support PCI's lifesaving work around the world. Project Concern International (PCI) and a committee of high school students host the event. Project Concern is an organization with the mission of preventing disease, improving health, and promoting sustainable development. Founded by Dr. Jim Turpin, PCI has been working to help impoverished communities for decades and has involved thousands of volunteers.
