San Diego's Goodwill Celebrates National Goodwill Industries Week

During this first week of May, more than 165 independent Goodwill Industry organizations will celebrate the 60th annual National Goodwill Industries Week, recognizing the organization’s growth over the decades.  Since 1930, Goodwill Industries of San Diego County has significantly expanded its social entrepreneurship role, supporting over 813 local residents and protecting the environment through socially conscious donations.  The network of non-profit groups has also increased visibility through key partnerships, including television network Planet Green.

Goodwill Industries of San Diego County is a local non-profit with the central mission of helping people with disabilities and other employment barriers, attain jobs by helping them develop their skills and providing opportunities through training and real work experience.  San Diego’s Goodwill funds its job training programs and employment services through revenue generated from selling donations.  Goodwill Industries of San Diego County will continue to serve the local community by utilizing new partnerships and staying true to its purpose.
