Intergenerational Games is a Place Where Everyone is a Winner!

It's true. There can really be a gap between parents and their children. When your teenage daughter doesn't understand why you can't text or Twitter, she'll simply roll her eyes and say, "Mom, you're just from a different generation."

So why not try to bridge the gap? Grab your kids, and even the grandparents, and join us for the 8th Annual South Bay Intergenerational Games. This event was created to bring together young and old for a common cause - to have fun together. It will be hosted at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista on November 18, 2009.

Aging and Independence Services, part of the County's Health and Human Services created the Intergenerational Games with one mission in mind: they dedicate themselves to teach about the mutual understanding and respect between generations and promote healthy, active, life-long behaviors.

The games, including basketball shoot, shot put and tennis shoot all promote health and fitness and highlight the importance of both as a part of a balanced life, regardless of the age.
