LA QUINTA, CALIF. -- Pat Perez captured his first win on the PGA Tour over the weekend at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic, eagling the final hole for the win.
Perez eagled the hole for a 3-under 69 and posted a three-shot win over John Merrick at the 90-hole Bob Hope Chrysler Classic. Perez finished a whopping 33 under par.
Third-round leader Steve Stricker collapsed with a final-round 77 and tied for third with Mike Weir. Stricker had a triple bogey on No. 7 and a quadruple bogey on No. 10, hitting into the water on both holes.
