NCAA Game Summary – San Diego at San Francisco

San Francisco, CA (Sports Network) - Trumaine Johnson matched his career-high with 22 points, as the San Diego Toreros downed the San Francisco Dons, 65-50, in West Coast Conference play at War Memorial Gym.

Johnson connected on 4-of-6 shots from downtown and dished out six assists, as San Diego (9-7, 1-0 WCC) extended its winning streak to three games. Gyno Pomare registered a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, while Rob Jones added 10 points and eight boards in the victory.

For San Francisco (8-8, 0-1), Dior Lowhorn scored 18 points and grabbed seven caroms to lead the way. Manny Quezada chipped in with 13 points, as the Dons were defeated for the fourth time in five contests.

San Diego made 59.1 percent of its field goal attempts and 6-of-10 from three- point range in the first period, opening a 34-25 lead at the half.

The Toreros shot an equally as good 56.5 percent from the floor in the second stanza, as they captured the 15-point victory.

San Francisco didn't have the same kind of success from the field as San Diego, converting on just 34.9 percent of its chances.
