Lakers G Farmar out with torn meniscus; contemplating surgery

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Los Angeles Lakers guard Jordan Farmar has a tough decision to make.

The third-year pro went down with a left knee injury during Friday's 89-87 loss to the Miami heat. Farmar was examined by two doctors on Monday and both recommended that the 6-foot-2, 180-pound guard undergo surgery to repair a torn lateral meniscus.

Farmar, who is averaging 7.9 points and 2.4 assists in 25 games this season, is currently weighing his options.
