Rollins Leads Buick Invitational

The rain wasn't a factor in the third round of the Buick Invitational at Torrey Pines, but John Rollins was.  He followed a second 64 on the tough South Course with a two under 70 on Saturday.  Rollins stands at 12 under par for the tournament, and has a three shot lead over Camilo Villegas.

"I like where I stand," said Rollins. "I've given myself a chance to win, and that's all you can ask."

Villegas, who led the first two rounds, struggled in his second straight round on the South Course.  He shot a two over 74.

"I made a few mistakes, but other than that I was fine," said Villegas.  "I'll go out on Sunday, and give it my best."

Nick Watney is five shots behind Rollins.  Paul Goydos, and Luke Donald will start the final round six shots back.

Charley Hoffman, a  hometown favorite, found his ball stuck in a tree on the first hole on Saturday.  He made a triple bogey, and has fallen seven shots out of the lead. Phil Mickelson shot a frustrating 73, and is now eleven shots behind.

Rollins will need another solid round on Sunday to win for the third time in his career on the PGA Tour.
