Southwestern College will be the site for one of the best games of this high school football weekend. Undefeated Cathedral Catholic will take it's dominant offense on the road in a tough matchup against a solid St. Augustine squad. Saints has 3 losses, but in those games, they only went down by an average of just under five points.
St. Augustine is led by sophomore quarterback Evan Crower. In his first season as a starter, Crower has thrown for 2089 yards and 23 touchdowns, numbers that rank among the best in the county. Crower's favorite target is a thoroughbred. Wide receiver Dana Barbaro has caught 46 balls for 628 yards and 11 scores.
Cathedral comes bringing the heat. You may have heard about Tyler Gaffney. The Dons senior Tailback, who is being courted by the likes of Notre Dame and UCLA, averages just under 190 yards rushing per game and has reached the end zone an amazing 26 times so far this season. Parker Hipp calls the signals for the perfect Dons and he's putting together a solid season of his own. Hipp has thrown for over 1000 yards and has 11 passing touchdowns.
This will certainly be an Eastern league battle worth the price of admission.
