NCAA Game Summary – San Francisco at San Diego

San Diego, CA (Sports Network) - Gyno Pomare logged 16 points and the San Diego Toreros downed the San Francisco Dons, 73-63, in a West Coast Conference showdown at Jenny Craig Pavilion.

Matt Dorr made 3-of-5 three-pointers and he finished with 13 points for the Toreros (13-11, 5-4 WCC), who ended their four-game losing streak. Roberto Mafra posted 12 points and five boards, and De'Jon Jackson had 11 points in the win.

Dior Lowhorn had a big night for the Dons (9-12, 1-8), racking up 22 points and 12 rebounds. Manny Quezada contributed 15 points, as USF was defeated by San Diego for the fifth straight time.

On the strength of an 18-2 run, the Toreros were able to carry a 38-26 lead to the locker room.

In the second half, San Diego held the Dons to just 34.6 percent shooting from the field, as it came away with the 10-point win.

Despite the win, the Toreros were less than impressive at the foul line, going just 16-of-32 on the night.
