Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Shannon Brown hit the go-ahead three- pointer in the second overtime, and the Charlotte Bobcats continued their success against the Los Angeles Lakers with a 117-110 triumph at Staples Center.
Boris Diaw had 23 points, nine rebounds and nine assists for the Bobcats, who also received 21 points, 11 boards and nine assists from Raymond Felton. Emeka Okafor tallied 18 points and 11 rebounds for Charlotte, which beat the Lakers for the fifth time in the last six meetings.
"I'm proud of our guys. This team tried so hard to make this win possible," said Bobcats coach Larry Brown. "We just want to get better. We want to see our kids improve and I think we're seeing it."
Raja Bell had 17 points for the Bobcats, who have won six of their last eight games overall.
"It's always cool to win in LA," said Bell. "The fans were silent. Not many gave us a chance, but we were resilient tonight. We're fighting for our lives right now."
Charlotte's Gerald Wallace had 15 points, but left the game late in the fourth quarter after taking an elbow to the ribs from Andrew Bynum. Wallace drove into the lane, collided with the young center and then went to the hardwood in pain. Wallace was assisted off the court and to the locker room with 2:08 remaining.
Lakers star Kobe Bryant had 38 points, but fouled out for the first time at home since the 2001-02 season. Bryant, who shot 15-of-28 from the field and had eight rebounds and five assists, reached the six-foul limit late in the first overtime.

Bynum totaled 24 points and 14 rebounds for Los Angeles, which had a four-game win streak broken. Lakers forward Trevor Ariza departed the contest in the second quarter with a concussion.
"They outplayed us, they had more assists and more rebounds," said Lakers coach Phil Jackson. "That was the key tonight. When they missed five free throws at the end (of regulation) we almost stole the game. But sometimes justice prevails and it happened tonight."
Diaw's three-pointer extended Charlotte's lead to 90-83 with just over three minutes left in regulation, capping nine straight points for the Bobcats. But poor free throw shooting ultimately doomed Charlotte for a chance to win before OT.
Bynum was then called for a flagrant foul on Wallace, but Bell missed both from the line. Diaw was then off the mark on a pair from the charity stripe with 1:51 left, opening the door for the Lakers.
The hosts took advantage as Bryant nailed two jumpers, sandwiched between a Diaw bucket. Diaw missed a three-pointer, but Sasha Vujacic couldn't connect from the left corner, leaving the visitors with a 92-90 lead.
Diaw went 1-of-2 at the line with 30.7 seconds left, and Derek Fisher tied the game with a three-ball off a cross-court pass from Bryant with 14 seconds left. Felton front-rimmed a jumper as time expired.
The Lakers scored the opening six points of the first overtime, but blew that advantage. Bryant fouled out while defending Brown beyond the three-point line with under a minute left.
Diaw's three-pointer tied it at 103 with 32.2 seconds left, eventually forcing a second extra session. LA had a chance to move in front, but in the waning seconds the Bobcats tipped away an inbounds pass. After a timeout, Diaw had a shot blocked by Lamar Odom at the buzzer.
Shannon Brown's three-ball gave Charlotte a 110-107 lead with 2:13 left in the second OT.
LA got within 112-110 on a Bynum three-point play, but Okafor rose up and nailed a jumper over Bynum from the left baseline with 47.5 seconds left. After Bynum missed a close shot, Felton sealed the victory by draining two foul shots.
Charlotte led 23-16 after one quarter, but the margin stood only at 49-48 at the half. It remained tight throughout the third, but Adam Morrison's three- ball moved the visitors to a 76-70 lead going to the fourth.
