Gonzalez, Better and Stronger

Spring Training for the Padres starts in just a few days.  The only thing we really have to look forward to is Adrian Gonzalez.  This off-season he's a lot better.

Adrian was a monster playing for Mexico in the Caribbean Series.  He's one of only five players in baseball to drive in 100 runs and score 100 runs in the last two seasons.

So the question is, will any pitcher in his right mind give A-Gone anything to hit?

"The guy continues to put up these unbelievable numbers... you have to bear in mind, that's in PETCO Park, a park where they're saying everybody is afraid to hit," channel 4 baseball analyst Bob Scanlan said.  "He's has nobody protecting him the last couple of years. There's no reason to think he's not going to continue to put up those in credible numbers and hopefully get even better and stronger."

The Padre slugger won his first career Gold Glove in November as the best defensive first baseman in the NL.  He had a .996 fielding percentage last season.
