The Detroit Lions have two picks in the first round of April's NFL Draft. Since they were 0-16 last year, just about everything is open for improvement.
Speculation has been rampant that the Lions will take a quarterback with the first pick, presumably Georgia's Matthew Stafford or USC's Mark Sanchez. When they meet with Stafford March 31, they'll put him through a private workout. Evidently, there is no plan to do the same for Sanchez. Hmm ...
