Yankee Fans Are Kung Fu Fighting

Flying kicks are a reminder of Stadium's bad old days

One of the many complaints about the new Yankee Stadium is that it doesn't have the same flavor of the place across the street. That's been taken to mean that the stands aren't filled with baseball-loving fans, but there's another, older flavor that was missing from the old joint in recent years.

You have to go back to the 70's and 80's to remember a time when trips to Yankee games were tinged with more than a little bit of danger. Fights in the stands were common, even when the Red Sox weren't in town, and this video, via Total Pro Sports, shows that some fans are eager to bring back those halcyon days.

The kick is a bold move, but things didn't really work out well from that point forward. He took several shots to the face before security could make their move, the kind of strong comeback that the Yankees haven't been able to pull off in recent days.
