Week 6 Picks

Bolts or Broncos?

Here’s your look around the league at what the experts are saying about the Monday Night duel for first place between the Chargers and the Broncos:

ESPN’s Bill Simmons: Broncos beat the Chargers by approximately 1.5 points

NBC’s ProFootball Talk: Mark Florio chose the Chargers to beat the Broncos 27-23. Michael David Smith said Broncos 35, Chargers 31.

Yahoo! Sports: The experts went two for three picking the Chargers.

NFL Network’s Elliot Harrison: Broncos 31, Chargers 24.

Amanda’s Take: This is going to be an all-out, full-blown and “any-other-dramatic-reference-you-want-to-make” competition. Both teams are going into their bye week next week so they will leave it all on the field. Historically the Chargers have had both Peyton Manning and the Broncos number. But, can they handle them together? It all comes down to rookie left tackle Mike Harris (likely replacing the injured Jared Gaither) being able to keep quarterback Philip Rivers upright. Safety Eric Weddle has also had multiple picks against Manning and the Broncos, so if he can come up with some big defensive plays then San Diego should be able to secure a solid lead in the division with a win tonight.

Amanda’s Pick: Chargers 31, Broncos 28
