Toreros Win Again in California

USD's men's basketball program has been really good in the Golden State

For the Toreros it's a good thing the West Coast Conference has seven teams that are located in California. USD is REALLLLLLLY good in the Golden State.

The Toreros beat Northern Colorado 85-65 at Jenny Craig Pavilion to run their record to 9-3. Interestingly, USD is 9-0 in games played in California and 0-3 when they leave the union's most populous state.

All five Toreros in the starting lineup scored in double digits. Guard Olin Carter led the way with 18 points, followed by Isaiah Pineiro's 17, Tyler Williams with 16, Alex Floresca with 12, and Isaiah Wright with 10. Those guys also combined for 26 rebounds and 14 assists, not a bad overall performance by your top players.

USD has a week off before trying to get its first win across state lines. They start the Continental Tire Las Vegas Classic on Saturday, December 22 against Washington State at The Orleans Arena. After two games there they get to play seven out of eight in California before a trip to Spokane, WA, to deal with Gonzaga.
