Anthony Lawrence set a truckload of records at the University of San Diego. Most passing yards, touchdowns, completions, total offense, and a bunch more. He also has two things that no other Toreros QB does:

    A pair of playoff wins.

Lawrence did all he could to get a third on Saturday, throwing for 322 yards and four touchdowns with no turnovers in the first round of the FCS Playoffs against Nicholls State, but the Toreros couldn't slow down the Colonels in a 49-30 loss.

USD fell behind 42-10 so they didn't have the luxury of trying to run the ball. The Toreros had just nine yards on 14 rushes for the game but Lawrence put a scare into the crowd in Louisiana. Over the 3rd and 4th quarters he led three straight touchdown drives, each time hitting freshman tight end Dalton Kincaid for a score.

All four of Lawrence's TD tosses went to Kincaid. But the Toreros had trouble slowing down Colonels QB Chase Fourcade, who threw for 337 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 82 yards and two more scores. Running back Dontrell Taylor also had a big day, going for 124 yards and two touchdowns on just 14 carries.

USD finishes its season with a 9-3 mark. Lawrence will now wait to see if any professional football teams want to give him a chance. He certainly has one heck of a resume to pass around.
